In addition to golf, the ticket price includes a continental breakfast, lunch, a cocktail hour, a two-hour open bar, dinner, music, and a raffle.
9:30 AM Valet parking begins at 9:30 a.m. At 11 a.m., the driving range opens. Continental breakfast is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m.
Bud Harrelson is scheduled to attend the event. Bud Harrelson is currently with the Long Island Ducks, where he serves as the team’s Co-Owner, Senior Vice President of Baseball Operations and first base coach. He is best known for being a key member of the 1969 World Series and 1973 National League Champion New York Mets. In 1971, he won the Gold Glove for his outstanding defensive play at shortstop. After playing with the majors for the next 16 years, he was named Mets manager in 1990. In his two seasons as manager, he compiled a .529 winning percentage. Prior to joining the Ducks, Mr. Harrelson was part owner of the Wilmington Blue Rocks, the Class A affiliate of Major League Baseball’s Kansas City Royals.
For a $20 donation, golfers will get a chance to try to beat the former Met great on a par-3 hole. If they are successful, they will win four skybox seats to an upcoming Ducks game. Mr. Harrelson will also be on hand to autograph and personalize baseballs, which can be purchased at the event.
At the end of the tournament, five lucky golfers will be chosen to take part in a hole-in-one contest. The winners will be chosen by a raffle and then tee off at the 18th hole, which is a 165-yard par 3. If they make the shot, they will go home with a cash prize of $1 million. Each raffle is $20, or 10 for $100, with all proceeds benefiting Breast Cancer Help, Inc.
