Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center

In a unique partnership between a non-profit organization and a municipal government, Breast Cancer Help, Inc. joined with the Village of Lindenhurst to open its Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center in March of 2003 with the goal of providing patients and survivors with needed support. Since then, the Center has hosted numerous community lectures to promote cancer awareness in an effort to increase early detection. In 2007, the Center relocated to Bay Shore, and it currently resides at 32 Park Avenue, Bay Shore, 11706.

Today, the Long Island Cancer Help and Wellness Center sponsors ongoing programs to provide cancer patients and survivors with the assistance they need to overcome cancer through complementary integrative modalities that meet their psychosocial needs. The Center has established one of New York’s most active cancer support and wellness programs, including monthly support group, art therapy, massage therapy, and yoga.
